Zsaso Code of Conduct

Zsaso is an oasis for creators and their fans: a calm, ad-free place where people who make things and people who love those things can talk. This code describes how we treat each other here and what happens when someone doesn't.

It applies to everything on Zsaso — posts, replies, direct messages, profiles, usernames, and images — and to how you behave toward other members elsewhere when it affects the community here.

1. The short version

• Be kind. Assume good faith. Disagree with ideas, not people.
• Respect creators' work and members' time.
• Don't harass, threaten, deceive, or spam.
• Keep it suitable for a general audience.
• Report what you see; don't retaliate.

2. What we expect

• Courtesy. Treat everyone — creators, members, moderators — as a person. Criticism of work is welcome; contempt for the person is not.
• Honesty. Be who you say you are. Don't impersonate anyone, claim work that isn't yours, or misrepresent what you're selling or linking to.
• Consent. Don't share someone's private information, messages, or images without their permission.
• Credit. When you share or build on someone else's work, say so.
• Care with others' attention. Post to share, not to flood. Reply to add, not to derail.

3. What is not allowed

The following will be removed and may result in suspension or a ban:

• Harassment: targeting a person with insults, unwanted contact, dogpiling, or encouraging others to do so. Blocking someone and then finding another way to reach them counts.
• Hate: attacking people for who they are — race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or similar.
• Threats and violence: threatening anyone, glorifying violence, or promoting self-harm.
• Sexual content involving minors: zero tolerance. We remove it, permanently ban the account, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as the law requires.
• Adult content: not permitted at this time. [Revisit in a later phase with age verification and labeling.]
• Doxxing: publishing someone's home address, phone number, private email, financial details, or other private information.
• Non-consensual intimate imagery of anyone, real or synthetic.
• Spam and manipulation: unsolicited promotion, bulk messaging, fake accounts, engagement schemes, or malicious links.
• Impersonation: pretending to be another person, creator, or organization. Parody and fan accounts must be clearly labeled.
• Copyright and trademark infringement: posting work you don't have the right to post. See the Terms of Service for how to file a takedown notice.
• Illegal activity: anything that breaks the law where you are or where Zsaso operates.
• Evading enforcement: creating new accounts to get around a suspension or ban.

4. Creators and their spaces

Creators may set the tone in replies to their own posts. A creator can hide replies, block people, and ask moderators for help. Members who repeatedly ignore a creator's reasonable requests may be restricted from that creator's posts or from the community.

Creators are held to the same standards as everyone else, including in direct messages with fans.

5. AI-generated work

[Decide: require labeling of AI-generated or substantially AI-assisted work? Suggested rule: work generated by AI tools must be labeled as such; presenting AI-generated work as hand-made is treated as misrepresentation under §2.]

6. Reporting

Every post, reply, message, and profile has a Report option. Reports go to human moderators. We aim to respond within [48 hours] and act within [7 days] on clear cases; urgent safety reports are handled first.

Reporting is confidential. We don't tell the reported person who reported them. Filing false reports to harass someone is itself a violation.

7. Enforcement

Moderators choose the lightest response that will fix the problem, and escalate when it doesn't:

1. Warning — a private note explaining what crossed the line.
2. Content removed or hidden — the specific post, reply, image, or profile element.
3. Limited — temporary restrictions such as no posting, no replying, or no direct messages.
4. Suspended — the account is inaccessible for a set period.
5. Banned — the account is closed permanently.

Some violations skip straight to a ban: sexual content involving minors, credible threats, doxxing, and ban evasion.

Every enforcement action is recorded, including who took it and why. Moderators never act on reports about their own disputes.

8. Appeals

If you believe an action was a mistake, reply to the notice or write to [conduct@zsaso.com] within [14 days]. A different moderator reviews appeals. We'll tell you the outcome and the reason.

9. Moderator conduct

Moderators are members too and follow this code. They explain their decisions, keep reports confidential, and don't use their access to look at private messages except when investigating a report about them.

10. Changes

We'll announce changes to this code before they take effect. The version and effective date are at the top of this document.
